Just by the nature of the jobs we have chosen, we are “extraordinary people.” It doesn’t mean we are better than anyone else, it just means that we are different. We run in when others run out. We put the lives of others before our own, and are exposed to things most people don’t ever want to think about.
And because we are different, we can have extraordinary struggles and at times can need extraordinary care. We have chosen a job that does not make for an easy life.
